This limited single malt Scotch Whisky has been matured firstly in a 1st fill ex-Bourbon cask for 6 years, distilled November 2010, then transferred into a 1st fill ex-Pedro Ximénez cask in 2016 and bottled in small batches at 57.4% as a distillery exclusive, only available to purchase from our Visitor Centre or distillery website. A classic PX finished Tomatin, this incredible single malt has bittersweet notes of dark chocolate coated cherries, salted caramel liquorice and black walnut bitters before a burst of vibrancy in the form of dried orange peel. There is an underlying earthy note of truffle, to taste there is lashings of orange liqueur, espresso, raisins, and treacle that continue to showcase the bittersweet balance. In classic PX fashion it has a long, rich and slightly earthy finish.
