At Tomatin we are more than just another whisky distillery. Since 1897, our people have worked hard to build the Tomatin community that exists today and lies at the heart of everything we do. We produce quality single malt and blended Scotch whisky in an area of stunning natural beauty which has rich whisky making traditions dating back to the 1500s.

Please select the number of tickets you would like to give. The Gift Certificate can be used for purchases online or at the distillery for tours only. Not valid for other distillery goods or services (bottles, merchandise. etc). Once submitted, the Gift Certificate will be created and sent within 1-2 days.
Please note, the A9 between Tomatin and Moy will face a new 40mph speed limit from March 10 2025, remaining in place until Spring 2028 – but, worry not! The delay only adds around 5-10 minutes to your journey.
For our guests arriving by car, we’re pleased to offer the tastings included in each experience as “Driver’s Drams” to takeaway, ensuring everyone can enjoy a taste of Tomatin responsibly.
At Tomatin, our silent season runs from April to September, when production pauses to allow essential maintenance and upkeep across the distillery , a practice common throughout Scotch whisky production. This period ensures every part of our process is in its best condition for the year ahead, helping us continue to produce whisky with the character we’re known for.
Disabled access is available to most parts of the whisky distillery, let us know of any specific requirements when booking. Guide and assistance animals are permitted in the Visitor Centre, however, as much as we would like to, we cannot accommodate other pets at the distillery.

The Tomatin Distillery lies just 16 miles south of Inverness and 15 miles north of Aviemore on the A9. Easily reached by car or taxi, check with Stagecoach Inverness for current bus timetables. Ember’s electric buses also regularly pass through Tomatin, click here to view current timetables. It is a 10 minute stroll from the Tomatin bus stop, to our Visitor Centre.
You are welcome to drop in to our bar and enjoy a complimentary taste of our Tomatin 12 year old single malt, or you can purchase a variety of other Tomatin single malts at the bar. Last orders is 15 minutes before closing.
Hand fill your own bottle of one of our cask strength distillery exclusive whiskies and take it home as an extra special memento of your Tomatin Distillery experience.
