Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival 2024

2024 marked 20 years of Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, can you believe it? Without a doubt, the biggest party in the Highlands and we were thrilled to be a part of it again at our Tomatin Bothy Bar, providing delicious drams, tasty cocktails and of course great craic (with some surprise live performances from acts such as Tartan Paint and The Laurettes thrown in for extra measure!).

To mark the 20th anniversary of the festival, that holds a special place in our hearts due it taking place only 30 miles away from Tomatin Distillery, we were delighted to release an incredibly rare single cask bottled exclusively for Belladrum Festival. This whisky was matured in a first-fill Oloroso Sherry cask for over twenty years, with only 153 bottles produced, and we were ecstatic that everyone loved it as much as we did, selling out in record time.

The label design has been curated by Belladrum designer Michael Forbes and pays homage to this year’s festival theme: Love.

Dougie Brown, longstanding Festival Producer at Belladrum comments ‘We are delighted that Tomatin are marking our 20th anniversary with this very special bottling of a rare single cask. The Tomatin Bothy has been one of the highlights of the festival for many years now featuring their award winning whisky, popup sessions from artists, and of course their incredible cocktails.’

We were delighted to team up with Netsounds this year to produce the Tomatin Bothy Sessions, a truly atmospheric experience that created intimate and cherished memories for everyone involved. Amongst the standout acts was Colonel Mustard, who turned the Bothy into a vibrant display of peace and love. Callum Beattie’s performance was also a fan-favourite, with the cosy setting of the Bothy helping provide an emotive show that had everyone singing along.

Our Whisky and Cocktail Masterclasses also returned this year, and as always were a sell-out. We loved joining everyone to share a dram and chat about the craftmanship, tradition and quality of Tomatin’s Highland Malt, as well as hearing what people loved so much about Tomatin Distillery. The cocktail masterclasses added to the party and it was great to get people involved in shaking and stirring their own cocktail

A favourite amongst the cocktail makers was our Barrel aged Espresso Martini.

For all of those who want to keep the Belladrum fun going, we have included a list of ingredients and instructions on how to make this delicious cocktail below!

We of course can’t mention the word cocktail without shining a light on our infamous pink cocktail! Every year we host a competition on our social media accounts, allowing one very lucky individual to win 2 tickets to Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, with an extra special prize this year of also winning a Belladrum Single Cask bottle. This year, the fantastic name that took home the prize was ‘Key Toma’ Heart’ – a true representation of what we think the pink cocktail is all about and tying into the Belladum theme.

We hope everyone that visited the Tomatin Bothy this year had as good a time as we did! From sharing a dram with friends, to partying with the many acts that played, we had a hoot. See you next year!
