Introducing our seventh instalment in our limited edition “Creation” series, Creation #7.
What 2 words would we use to describe Creation #7? Easy! Rhubarb & Custard. Why? Well, Creation #7 has been matured in rare Pineau des Charentes Rouge and American virgin oak casks, resulting in a distinctive flavour profile of rhubarb, custard, heather smoke and sweet oak spice.
Drawing on our experience working with fortified wine casks for Tomatin spirit , we felt Pineau des Charentes Rouge casks would bring something fresh to the Cù Bòcan range. Scott Adamson, our blender and global brand ambassador, put it best: ‘Creation #7 is our most limited release yet, and it’s really an invitation to explore rather than just another whisky. Pineau des Charentes Rouge casks aren’t something you see often in Scotch maturation, and they bring a nostalgic, unexpected twist to our lightly peated spirit. It’s been a fun one for us to craft’.
Like the other Creations in the series, Creation #7 is natural in colour, non-chill filtered and 46% ABV.
Cù Bòcan Creation #7 marks 20 years of peated spirit production here at Tomatin, a seasonal ritual that has closed our calendar since 2005! Distilled in winter, created by the elements and enjoyed by the curious.
