To celebrate the launch of the Tomatin Portuguese collection, we partnered up with Portuguese macramé artist Marta Barros. This collaboration highlights skill and craftsmanship, values which are emulated within our limited collection.
Marta dedicates herself to making exclusive craft pieces for an interior design using the macramé technique. She believes that her pieces can be an alternative to traditional decoration, offering pieces of artwork with a unique and modern design which also preserve this ancient art. Her aesthetic is defined by a preference for neutral tones and the search for quality achieved through manual work, which makes the pieces unique.

In this exclusive macrame tapestry, I tried to recreate the landscape of Tomatin with its beautiful valleys, but also the light that emerges behind them and the colours of the countryside. I hope you can also feel the sensation of cool breeze, which I tried to reproduce through the pattern with waves.” – Marta Barros.
