New Cocktail: World Whisky Day with Martin Gillespie

It’s that time of year again, World Whisky Day. This year, we teamed up with Martin Gillespie from Skerryvore, the contemporary Scottish Celtic music rock band, to celebrate.
As an aficionado of good drams, Martin’s top pick is the Tomatin 14 Year Old. However, he couldn’t resist crafting his very own cocktail with our Tomatin Cask Strength, to mark the occasion.
Introducing Martin’s ‘Tomatin Tornado’, a whirlwind of flavour.
Tomatin Tornado
Ingredients
- 50ml Tomatin Cask Strength
- Half an orange (squeezed)
- Cherry juice
- Ice
- Garnish: cherry, orange peel and basil
The Method
1. Fill a shaker with ice and combine 50ml of Tomatin Cask Strength with the freshly squeezed juice of half an orange and add a slash of cherry juice.
2. Shake vigorously and strain the cocktail into a glass filled with ice.
3. Garnish with a cherry, a twist of orange peel, and a sprig of basic for an aromatic finish.
