Each one tells its own story, shaped by time, wood and the unique character of the spirit within. That’s exactly what you’ll find in our latest UK Exclusive release: a Tomatin 2011 Single Cask, matured for 15 years in a first-fill Pedro Ximénez Sherry Butt and bottled exclusively for specialist whisky retailers across the UK.
Bottled at 58.8% and limited to just 608 bottles, this rare expression showcases the exceptional partnership between Tomatin’s soft, fruit-led spirit and one of the whisky world’s most richly flavoured cask types. Sherry casks have long been part of the Tomatin story. For more than 100 years, we’ve matured our spirit in casks sourced from Jerez, drawn to the remarkable depth, complexity and character they bring to our whisky.
So, what can you expect on the nose and palate? This whisky opens with notes of candied orange peel, berry compote and honey and vanilla sweetness on the nose, while the fruity spirit develops on the palate with flavours of rich dark chocolate, sultanas and tarte tatin, with a long, lingering finish of baking spices.
We believe that a special whisky like this deserves an equally curated route to consumers, which is why we’ve chosen to release this exclusively to specialist wine and spirit merchants.
