We are delighted to introduce the Stillman’s Tour, the newest addition to our distillery tour offering at Tomatin. Designed for those with a deeper curiosity for whisky‑making, this experience offers a more detailed and personal insight into how Tomatin spirit is crafted, matured and enjoyed.
Led by our Stillman, David, the tour takes guests behind the scenes at Tomatin Distillery. Carefully paced and rich in detail, it provides a deeper understanding of the skill, care and consistency that shape every drop of Tomatin whisky.
A Word from the Stillman
Who better to guide us through the Stillman’s Tour than the person at its heart – our Stillman, David.
How long have you been at Tomatin?
I’ve been at Tomatin for eight years now. I started out as a tour guide, which gave me a really strong grounding in the distillery’s history and the way we talk about our whisky. About six years ago, I moved into production, and that’s where I’ve been ever since.
What makes the Stillman’s Tour different from our other experiences?
This tour really focuses on what happens behind the scenes. It goes further into the practical side of production – the still house, cask selection, and the warehouse, and explains why we do things the way we do. It’s ideal for anyone who wants a deeper understanding of how Tomatin whisky is made.
What’s your favourite thing about working at Tomatin?
For me, it’s working in the industry itself. Being involved in making whisky every day, and seeing it develop from spirit through to maturity, is something I never take for granted.
We now invite you to take part in the Stillman’s Tour first-hand. Booking is open, and we look forward to welcoming you to Tomatin.
